WHEN SHOULD MY CHILD STAY HOME?
- Please keep your student home if he/she is sick. Stay home if you have a fever of 100 degrees or higher, are vomiting or severe diarrhea. Mild signs and symptoms can be dealt with at school.Student must be fever-free for 24 hours (without medication) before returning to school.
- Colds- Start with sneezing, a runny nose, feeling tired and not feeling well.Sometimes a cough, sore throat, and low grade fever.Taking tylenol, ibuprofen, rest and drinking plenty of fluids will help symptoms.
- Flu- Fever,cough,sore throat,stuffy nose, headaches, body aches,chills,being tired,and chest discomfort.Taking tylenol, ibuprofen and drinking plenty of fluids will help symptoms.
REMEMBER
ALL VIRUSES ARE CONTAGIOUS...PROTECT YOURSELF AND OTHERS BY WASHING YOUR HANDS BEFORE EATING AND AFTER USING THE BATHROOM.
DO NOT TOUCH YOUR FACE BEFORE WASHING YOUR HANDS.
GERMS ENTER YOUR BODY THROUGH YOUR MOUTH, NOSE, AND EYES. DO NOT SHARE WATER BOTTLES OR EATING UTENCILS.
COVER YOUR COUGH WITH YOUR SLEEVE OR HAND.
